Project Properties: Start your project by defining various Project Properties. App Test provides
extensive customization of your project behaviour.

Recording Settings: Testing your application is easy. Simply start your application using this recorder
box and start using your application. Everything you do gets recorded.
|
Test Editor - Project: All actions your perform are recorded and can be viewed and
modified using the Test Editor. This view shows the top-level project data.
|
|
|
Test Editor - Group: Click on any node on the tree on left to view details about that node.
You can group a set of actions in to Groups that can be managed individually.
|
Test Editor - Task: Each action that is records is called a task. Click on
any task node on the tree on left to view details about that task.
|
|
|
Test Editor - Event: Each task contains all details (called events) about the action that was performed.
|
Test Editor - Parameters: You can replace recorded values with dynamically created values using the
Parameters sheet. Dynamic values can come from a database, a manually specified list of values, or a CSV file.

|
Event Settings: Users can control exactly which properties of each event get recorded throught
the Event Settings Options dialog box.
|
Test Replay Status View: When a test is replayed, your application is invoked and you see every action being
performed on your application. In addition, this Status view in App Test also provides additional information
about the test replay.

|
Results - Project Summary: Once your test is completely replayed, the Results are automatically displayed in the
Project Summary view in the Results tab.
|
Results - Group Summary: Detailed Results of a test replay can be viewed for each group by clicking
on that group.
|
|
|
Results - Task Summary: Detailed Results of a test replay can be viewed for each task by clicking on that task.
These details are necessary when diagnosing failed tasks.

Results - In HTML: All results can be exported in various file formats such as HTML, PDF, XML, etc. Here
the results are exported in HTML.

|
Script Editor: While most features are available through the GUI, for times when added logic is
needed, App Test proivdes an easy-to-understand scripting language. The Script Editor can be used to code
the scripts.
