Process Monitor

Process Monitoring monitors the Unix processes for memory and CPU usage, thread count etc. Process Monitoring with AppPerfect is extremely lightweight and adds negligible overhead to target system while monitoring.

Managing Database monitors

To view the list of all available monitors defined with the AppPerfect Monitor, log in as administrator and click the "Monitors" tab. A list of all defined monitors is displayed. You can edit the properties of a monitor by clicking it and updating the properties page for that monitor.

To delete a monitor, select the checkbox to the left of that monitor and click "Delete". When you delete a monitor, you may choose to preserve the data already recorded for that monitor or you may delete the monitor along with all its historical data.

Unix Process Monitor

To monitor any Unix Process, you will need to provide following additional details:

• Process Id: Id of the process to be monitored.
• Process Name(Optional): Name of process to be monitored.
• Protocol: Select the protocol to connect to remote machine.
• Username: User name to connect to machine.
• Password: Password for the user name above.

Windows Process Monitor

To monitor any Windows Process, you will need to provide following additional details:

• Process Id: Id of the process to be monitored.
• Username: User name to connect to machine.
• Password: Password for the user name above.

AIX Process Monitor

To monitor any AIX Process, you will need to provide following additional details:

• Process Id: Id of the process to be monitored.
• Process Name(Optional): Name of process to be monitored.
• Protocol: Select the protocol to connect to remote machine.
• Username: User name to connect to machine.
• Password: Password for the user name above.
